Match coding simple enough that a kid can do it
A trained teen scout taps who received → what quality → where the ball went — that's it. Attack efficiency, directions, and heat maps are calculated automatically from these taps, with no specialist coding language. Built for youth and school level, not the pro league.
Code a single rally
Tap three buttons in order — the same way a teen scout does it during a match.
A simplified educational demo of the interface — not the full module.
Why not like pro analytics suites
Professional match-coding and scout platforms need a trained specialist and weeks of practice. For school and youth volleyball, Paideia deliberately doesn't compete with those tools — instead it focuses on a segment with nothing at all yet: tracking statistics alongside age-based development, not a one-off snapshot of a single match.
Who received
One tap on a team player — no need to memorize position numbers and codes
Quality
A colour-coded rating of the action's outcome — intuitive, no special notation
Where the ball went
A tap on the court diagram — direction is logged automatically
What's calculated automatically
What we deliberately don't do
We don't compete with professional tools. This isn't a replacement for pro-league scout or analytics software — the focus is school and youth level, where no such tool exists yet.
We don't require special scout training. The interface is built for a teenager with no years of match-coding experience.
We don't show the full database to everyone. Access to comparative player data is governed by platform rules and family consent.
How this differs from what's out there
| Category | What it offers |
|---|---|
| Pro scout and match-analytics software | Powerful notation for the pro leagues — requires a trained specialist, out of reach for school level |
| A paper match protocol | Basic score and lineups — no efficiency stats or heat maps |
| Video with no coding | The recording exists, but finding a specific attack moment by hand takes a long time |
| Match Scouting Module by Paideia | 3 taps per rally, automatic statistics, video sync, linked to the athlete's year-over-year trend |
Important. The module is built for school and youth-level volleyball — it doesn't replace professional analytics systems for adult professional leagues.
