Youth volleyball tournament day: keep the hall running

A good tournament day feels calm from the outside. Inside, the schedule, roles and score flow have to be boringly reliable.

Before doors open

Publish the day’s order of matches with courts and approximate times.

Assign roles: court manager, score desk, referee contact, spectator link owner.

Share one official link for parents/spectators — not five screenshots in different chats.

During the day

Update the live board when a match starts / ends — delays cascade.

Keep the score desk consistent (who may edit, when a set is final).

Communicate schedule slips once, in the official channel, with the new expected time.

After the last whistle

Export or archive results while people still remember disputes.

Thank volunteers with the same link pack you will reuse next event.

Note what broke (signage, Wi‑Fi, late teams) for the next checklist.
